Section bending machines can be equipped with some accessories and the most important among these are:
• Lateral guide rolls
• Tooling to bend beams on the edge
• Tooling to bend “U” channels on the edge
• Tooling to calibrate pitch and diameter of the spirals

Lateral guide rolls

Are installed beside the rolls of the machine and are used to correct the torsion that takes place during the bending on asymmetric profiles or to generate a second plane of curvature in a direction parallel to the axis of the machine. In the simple version, lateral guide rolls can be regulated only in depth, while in the most complete can be regulated also the angle and the height.

Tooling to bens beams on the edge

It is used to avoid that the flanges of the beam deform towards the inside of the profile during the bending process. It can be regulated mechanically or hydraulically, depending also on the size of material. Usually it can be removed from the machine when it is not necessary for the bending work.

Tooling to bend “U” channels on edge

It is used to avoid that the edges of the “U” profile deform towards the inside of the profile during the bending process. It can be regulated mechanically or hydraulically, depending also on the size of material. Usually it can be removed from the machine when it is not necessary for the bending work.

Tooling to calibrate pitch and diameter of the spiral

This tooling is usually installed on top of the profile bending machine and is used to increase the accuracy of the diameter of the different loops and, when required, create a pitch between the loops, pushing the profile in a direction parallel to the axis of the machine.
